i can't ever seem to get this type of eye makeup done without looking like a drunken monkey did my makeup. what brand of makeup do you recommend, and what do i need as far as like brushes and liner and shadow? kthnx! How to get this eye makeup (picture included)?
If you really want to get that look, make sure you moisturize around your eyes and put a makeup primer. You can tell a big difference with your eyeshadow's staying power when you put a primer first.
Then apply some shimmer from the crease of your lids to your brows and blend up. Next, apply some dark shadow from your upper lash line to the crease and blend it up. Don't cake it on, just layer a little bit and make sure it's well blended.
Apply a blendable liner on your upper line and blend again, preferably with a stubby blending brush. Brush on another layer of dark eyeshadow to your top lid and blend with your pinky. Curl your lashes and apply mascara - and if you have pale lashes, make sure to apply several coats on the top and bottom. This way no paleness will show through.
If you want a lighter lower line, just use a blendable eye liner on the lower lashes and blend with a brush.
BUT if that's too dark for your skin tone, try some of these looks instead, specially the Miss August and the Kat Von D. looks. http://www.sephora.com/browse/article.jh鈥?/a>
Those are easier to pull off and won't give you those dreadful raccoon eyes. I love Miss August's look myself, but I'd had to adapt to my coloring and use brown and copper tones instead of the teal.
Well, hope these help!! Remember, you can make your eyes smolder without using such a dark color as black. Click on that link and see different ways to achieve that kind of look. How to get this eye makeup (picture included)?
its the smokey eye and you do it at nite but you use 3 types of the same color(diff. tones) and you apply the darkest about halfway up to the crease then the mid. tone a tad over top of that then up just over the crease(about2/8 over the crease/or so) and the darkest as far up as you want then apply eyeliner to top and bottom and then use the mid. tone on the bottom lid and blend the top lids shades gently with your finger and then rub the lowest part of the eyeshadow on you bottom lid but practice and if you mess up completl pletely remove it and start over because its tough to do at first!but you will need the three shades the liner and any brushes you think should work
use a gel type liner or liquid eyeliner as your base all over your eyelid (mac fluidliner or boot black eyeliner) take a matte black eyeshadow (mac carbon) and pat the color on. pack it on and don't swipe it. go all over your lid and a little bit over your crease. take a beige/white matte color eyeshadow or even face powder with a softer brush and blend from the end of the shadow on your crease a little bit upward. but not too high. line your bottom water line and lower lash line with opthalmologist tested eyeliner. go over with your matte black shadow with an angled eyeliner brush.
i would use an eye crayon for the top more control and staying power than a shadow, imo. and a pencil for the bottom, but heat the pencil with a lighter before you use it... makes it nice and smooth and dark. never tried that with a crayon, but then... i never wanted make up on top THAT dark.
make sure you curl your lashes and use a REALLY good mascara or you'll look funny... (i use cover girl professional, it's been around forever, but it's awesome stuff - people have accused me of wearing fake ones, 'cause they go up to my eyebrows... and some of these new ones that claim to be great aren't, i've tried.) if your eyelashes are kinda naturally pitiful, consider false ones.
Hmm, What skin tone do you have? and it also depends on your eye shape, cause there are certain eye shapes that looks good in dark thick eye shadows, those kind of eye make ups are for people with long and wide eye shapes to give emphasis, i think you should posted a link of your photo too.
maybe lighter colors cuz HOLY CRAP it does look like a drunk monkey did ur makeup
whoa!!!!!!!!!
