I know, if you want the best but cheap makeup kit use Victoria's Secret Ultimate Makeup Kit. It has so much stuff and it all works great!!!! Just go to Victoria's secret.com and type in makeup and you'll find it.

hair-use a hot oil treatment once a month to keep your hair healthy, always us conditioner. when you style it with heat, us a protector. dont wear it the same every single day, it gets boring
makeup-DONT DO IT THE SAME EVERYDAY like hair. use funky colors that stand out. dont put to much eyeliner on, you will look like a raccoon haha. it mostly depends on your complexion. i recommend bare minerals from mary-kay. experiment, but make sure you use it right or it will look slutty
